Stannah Brackley team up to raise crucial funds for local charities!

As part of the 150th match funding the staff at the Stannah Brackley service branch have been busy raising money for their two chosen charities.

The first was Spurgeons who give vulnerable children and families the chance for a better future.  Activities included a BBQ, football scratch cards, supplying bacon rolls at monthly branch meetings and a grand raffle. The August BBQ featured plenty of activities for all to get involved in, from a tug of war, to employees in stocks, raffle stands, tombola stands, picture stocks, and even ‘guess the number of balloons in the Stannah van’. The grand raffle had a host of generous donations from local businesses including: Acorn Childcare, CitySprint, Northampton Saints, Days Out Voucher, Disney Store, Holiday Inn, KT’s Photography, London Luton Airport, Malmaison, Northamptonshire CC, Sporting Targets, Tigers Indoor Play, Turweston Flight Centre, Waitrose and Whittlebury Hall. These initiatives including match funding by Stannah the combined total raised was a fantastic total of £4,115.

The other chosen charity was Katherine House based in Banbury, who provide specialist palliative care for adults with life limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire, South Northamptonshire and South Warwickshire. A series of dress down days have been organised and held by the branch throughout the year, raising £340 for this charity to date.

Kes Wycherley, Branch Manager said:

“My team have worked exceptionally hard; it was amazing to see everyone get involved locally. The team and I grateful for the generosity of all those that donated or gave their time. The money raised will make a big difference to these charities.”
