Stannah wins at the fleet news awards!
World-leading stairlift manufacturer Stannah has been recognised as having the UK’s leading mid-sized fleet at the 2014 Fleet News Awards, held in London.
The award is the UK’s most prestigious independent award in the fleet world celebrating excellence, innovation and economic efficiency for fleets comprising 500 to 1,000 vehicles.
The award ceremony was hosted by BBC journalist Kate Silverton and Stannah received the award in recognition of its extremely efficient fleet operations.
Nominated by a panel of leading business experts and the Fleet News editor-in-chief, Stephen Briers, Stannah was the only engineering firm in the category, competing with both public and private sector organisations.
Martin Carter, operations director of Stannah Management Services, said: “We are thrilled to have won this award and to be publicly honoured by professionals within the industry.
“Over the last few years we have innovated with new technology and other changes to improve the performance and efficiency of our large fleet of service vehicles. To be recognised for our achievements is fantastic, and testament to the hard work of our employees.”
Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief and member of the judging panel of the Fleet News Awards said: “Winners receive widespread publicity and the respect of industry peers, as well as an acknowledgement of the importance of the people in their business. A Fleet News award is the biggest honour in fleet.”
