Stannah celebrates 20 years in Slovakia

Stannah, a global family-owned British company, is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Slovak branch.

Since its founding on 24 March 2003 the business in Slovakia has established itself as a trusted supplier of stairlifts through its high quality products and exceptional service provided by the dedicated teams.

The business started with just, Mark West – a 10 year Stannah veteran, and his wife Zuzana West, who together ran all aspects of the business.

Despite Stannah being a well-established brand in the UK with over 100 years of experience, the stairlift market was relatively non existent in Slovakia at the time and so Mark and Zuzana set out to build up the market and establish Stannah as a trusted brand.

The business has gone from strength to strength, on 1 April 2008 it expanded and opened a further branch in the Czech Republic.

Twenty years on and it has grown to a team of 11 with a combined 122 years of service between them. The business now installs on average 350 units per year and is set to continue to grow.

With a firm foot in the Slovakian and Czech markets Stannah has further reinforced itself as a global brand.
