Stannah named as finalist in National Business Awards
Stannah proves manufacturing is still alive and kicking!
2 August 2011: World leading stairlift manufacturer Stannah has been named as a finalist in the prestigious National Business Awards, held in partnership with Orange.
Nominated by a panel of leading independent business experts, Stannah has been held up asa “global British superbrand”, recognised for its healthy growth and contribution to industry in the 3i Private Business of the Year category.
The National Business Awards, in partnership with Orange, is the UK’s most prestigious independent platform recognising excellence, innovation and ethical business. Stannah is the only engineering firm to be named Private Business of the Year, which goes to the company best demonstrating exceptional financial returns, strong growth and innovation strategies and market prominence in its sector.
Earlier this year Stannah celebrated the productionof its 500,000th stairlift with a special visit to its Andover factory from HRH Prince of Wales. This followed Stannah receiving its fourth Queen’s Award for Enterprise, demonstrating how the business has bucked the trend of manufacturing decline through its focus on innovative business solutions to help it expand at home and abroad.

Stannah will now go head to head with other finalists in the 3i-sponsored Private Business of the Year category, with the winner announced at a ceremony on 8 November.
