Factory roles across the Group
At Stannah, manufacturing jobs focus on welding, product assembly, mechanical engineering, quality control, and production planning—primarily supporting the stairlift business and its supply chains.
GUS specialises in upholstery, offering roles such as sewing machinists, upholsterers, cutters, sprayers, and dispatch staff, producing high-quality seating and upholstered components.
3D Ply complements this by manufacturing formed plywood and solid wood parts, with roles including CNC operators, wood machinists, press operators, and finishers who handle veneering, staining, and lacquering.
Warehouse & distribution roles
Warehouse and distribution jobs within the Stannah Group are essential to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, components, and finished products. Production jobs cover a range of responsibilities including goods receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
At GUS, warehouse and dispatch teams handle the movement of upholstery materials and finished seating components. Their roles include managing stock levels, preparing orders for delivery, and coordinating with production to ensure timely dispatch of goods to customers and internal partners, like Stannah stairlift assembly teams.
At 3D Ply, warehouse operatives and logistics staff support the movement of wood components. Their responsibilities include handling raw materials, storing finished parts, and ensuring safe and efficient transport of delicted wood products.

Brian Ravenscroft
Fabrication cell coordinator - Andover
"I started as a welder and have worked my way around fabrication and the paint plant as well as other areas within the company. I was also fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work in the USA with Stannah. One of the best things was knowing that I had a good team of cell coordinators and manager behind me and that they were all very supportive of me. It was a great challenge and I learnt so much!"
Nadejda Kurnosov

"The culture here is collaborative, inclusive and growth oriented. There is a real sense of teamwork, where everyone is encouraged to share ideas and support each other."
