How Stannah are supporting our customers throughout Covid-19

While the government has now announced the living with COVID plan, the safety of our customers and employees remains our number one concern. We will continue to take the utmost care to minimise the risk of COVID transmission.

New lift installations

For our lift installations, we continue to follow the latest construction and lift industry guidance, working to customer’s site operating procedures, and using our own updated working methods to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.

Our domestic & commercial maintenance and repair services

For many of our maintenance and repair customers, their lift or stairlift is essential for them to go about their life or keep their business running. We continue to provide breakdown and repair services, as well as carrying out routine maintenance visits.

When visiting you, we continue to follow government COVID-19 guidelines along with guidance from our trade associations, the BHTA and LEIA, for visits to both homes and businesses.

Prior to the visit:

• if we are coming to your premises before we visit we will communicate with you and will ask if there are any special measures we need to take at your particular location.

At the visit we will:

• wear a face mask on arrival and will only remove it if you are happy for us to do so
• wash or sanitise our hands before entry and after exit
• keep as far away from you and other occupants as we can and ask you to give us space while we are measuring, installing or maintaining.
• minimise surfaces that we touch in your home or business
• minimise the amount of time we spend in your home
• take any other precautions we consider necessary

Although we trust that we are nearing the end of the pandemic, we will continue to monitor developments and amend our working practices to take account of the latest advice.
